You do not want to miss the awe-inspiring talent of Gunhild Carling, Sweden’s Queen of Swing, on full display once again as she graces the stage for another unforgettable WMSE Big Band Grandstand performance!WMSE’s 10th Annual Big Band Grandstand Silent Auction & Gala is a cherished holiday season tradition, taking place at Turner Hall Ballroom on Sunday, December 8th at 4 p.m. The event is presented annually by Bob and Jenny Hillis in honor of Bob and Genie Friedman, providing enjoyment for all ages.The evening will commence with a special DJ set by WMSE’s very own Dewey Gill, followed by Gunhild Carling, the virtuoso known for her trombone, bagpipes, trumpet, recorder, and string instrument mastery. You will have the time of your life as Gunhild, with her big band accompaniment, showcases her musical prowess, combining multiple instruments within a single song, all while effortlessly transitioning into tap dance and vocals.There will be a Silent Auction boasting amazing items and experiences, including Green Bay Packers Tickets courtesy of TicketKing, a Film Buff package from Milwaukee Film valued at $1,500.
