Friday Night Freak Show – Babylon

This Friday Night Freak Show lands at the Oriental Theatre on Friday, February 20, featuring the groundbreaking cult classic Babylon (1980).

Widely hailed as one of the greatest British films ever made, Babylon wasn’t released in the U.S. until 2019. Set in Brixton, the film follows Blue, a young man of Jamaican descent, as he navigates friendship, music, family tension, job loss, and the harsh realities of racism—all while fronting a powerful dub sound system scene.

The night kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a special live DJ set from DJ Faux Eyes of the Armed Fauxes program. The film begins at 7:30 p.m.
