Musical Mondays – Bon Bon Vivant

The lineups for Lake Park’s musically diverse 2023 Musical Mondays’ 25^th season and the family-friendly Wonderful Wednesdays series, and info on a special opera performance, were announced Wednesday.Music styles in the park this year will include jazz, bluegrass, Irish, Latin-influenced, R&B, New Orleans, folk, opera and points in between.The 2023 season marks the 25^th anniversary of Lake Park Friends’ Musical Mondays series, which launched in 1998. The series revived the tradition of free concerts in Lake Park that began after the park opened in the late 1800s.All performances will be held at the Lake Park Summer Stage, near the park playground. Shows are free of charge.Lake Park Friends presents concerts in cooperation with Milwaukee County Parks and with generous support from the Coles Family Foundation, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, 88Nine, WMSE Radio 91.7FM, OnMilwaukee and member volunteers.Musical MondaysShows are 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. The series is geared for music lovers of all ages and features a wide range of musical genres.

• Aug. 21: Bon Bon Vivant. Genre-bending New Orleans band blending singer-songwriter, jazz-inspiration, Americana and up-tempo indie dance rock that pays homage to the bawdy New Orleans sound.

Aug. 28: Robbie Fulks. Grammy-nominated performer and songwriter whose career spans Americana, folk, rock and more, on the road with a new album, Bluegrass Vacation
