TRUE Skool Summer Park Jam 2023

WMSE is proud to be a sponsor of the TRUE Skool 2023 Summer Park Jam presented at Marcus Center for Performing Arts, a two-day celebration of Hip Hop Culture’s 50th year anniversary. The event will take place on August 11th and 12th at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Milwaukee.
Friday’s “CEO Session” 11-4pm will feature a variety of pop-up workshops, panels, and professional development for creative entrepreneurial opportunities .
Saturday’s Summer Park Jam 12 noon-8pm will be a free, all-ages outdoor festival and will include live performances, interactive activities, local vendors, a skateboarding area, live Graffiti Art and Breakin’ competitions. WMSE’s own Barry Johnson of the Saturday Afternoon Boogie Bang will be Live Broadcasting from the event from noon to 3pm! The Park Jam will celebrate all the elements of Hip Hop Culture! Attendees can expect an immersive experience that uplifts the best of Milwaukee including vendors, children’s activities, food and beverages.
“We are excited to bring the Summer Park Jam back again to the newly renovated grounds at the Marcus Center Peck Pavilion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop Culture,” said TRUE Skool Co-Executive Director, Shalina S. Ali. “This two-day celebration of Hip Hop culture provides a unique opportunity for youth and families from all over Milwaukee and beyond to get engaged and be inspired by our rich local arts community and we are also showcasing all of the great partnerships and collaborations happening in Milwaukee!”
