Join Music Director Sid and Poundcake Punk DJ Maggie for another Local/Live with Bicentennial Drug Lord.
Based in Milwaukee, WI, the three songwriters and longtime friends in Bicentennial Drug Lord, John
Daniels (Soda, Maki), Rick Donner (Punchdrunk) and Alan Weatherhead (Sparklehorse), have
forged an inventive blend of indie rock (Iggy Pop), modern Americana (This Pabst Blue Ribbon), and
Ocean Rain era Echo & the Bunnymen (The Gates of Headley Grange). Following up the band’s 2021
EP BDL, the songs on YOU ARE NEVER ALONE burst with lush guitars, catchy choruses,
heartbreaking, introspective, funny and literary lyricism, and fabulous and epic outros. The album
both acknowledges and breaks with tradition and is ultimately a hopeful take on the spirit of
community that is created by a disparate group of people in similar circumstance unwittingly
building a life together.
