Since the early 80’s Tourist In The Basement has been a creative outlet for self expression. Guitarist Rick Gasperetti originally formed the band to support his four track original compositions which were featured on local music compilations put out by WLPX and WQFM. In the 90’s Tourist In The Basement released their first album “Love Songs and Movie Themes”. Singer and songwriter Mike Ewing brought numerous heartfelt compositions to the collective. More recently Tourist In The Basement have released their second album called “Let It Go” featuring songs written and recorded in their basement studio. Drummer Mark Kappel provides a solid foundation along with bassist Bubba Gross for the musical explorations that define the ever changing dynamic of Tourist In The Basement.
