Get ready for one epic day of music, food, family fun, and summer vibes at WMSE’s legendary Backyard BBQ! Since 2010, this beloved free community celebration has brought together Milwaukeeans for a jam-packed day of killer live performances, mouthwatering food trucks, and ice-cold local brews—and this year is going to be the biggest yet.
Here’s what’s cookin’ on stage:
- 12:00 PM – Groove into the day with DJ Caryn & Kelly from WMSE’s Female Focus spinning between sets
- 1:00–1:55 PM – The R&B Cadets kick things off with powerhouse vocals from John Seiger, Robin Pluer, and Paul Cebar
- 2:25–3:20 PM – Moonglow brings soulful pop energy to the park
- 3:50–4:45 PM – Get funky with the brass-fueled party vibes of Voodoo Honey Brass Band, curated by Jay Anderson
- 5:15–6:15 PM – Prepare to be blown away by the experimental magic of Collections of Colonies of Bees
- 6:45–8:00 PM – Emo icons BRAID bring the night home with an unforgettable headline set
Bring the whole crew—kids, friends, neighbors, even your dog! Enjoy delicious eats and treats by: BelAir Cantina, Chillwaukee, Cedar Teeth, Flip’s Mini Donuts, Midwest Sad, MKE Bento, Sweet Smoke BBQ, Pallino Burger, T.Best Kettle Corn, Tots on the Street, and Valentine Coffee. There will be local craft beer, fun activities, and of course, a full day of incredible music under the summer sky.
