MILWAUKEE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS “SECRET SYMPHONY AT THE LIBARARY” – MILWAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY CENTRAL BRANCH @ Milwaukee Library

1216-1250x410-secret-symp-libr-v2WMSE presents The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s third Secret Symphony pop-up concert at Milwaukee Public Library’s Central Branch on January 12, 2017. Guest conductor JoAnn Falletta will lead the MSO in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.
The event begins at 6:30 PM with the performance starting at 7:30 PM. “Secret Symphony at the Library” highlights the art of storytelling with pre-concert activities including:
Ex Fabula, a volunteer organization committed to strengthening community bonds through the art of storytelling, will craft a story surrounding the event and host an “UltraShorts” booth at Central Library pre-concert, where attendees can write short stories to be performed at the end of the evening.
Tamarind Tribal Belly Dance will give on-the-spot lessons to attendees as well as perform.
Third Space Brewing and Central Standard Craft Distillery will offer tastings. Rishi Tea will also offer a sampling of tea flavors and tea cocktails. There will be a full cash bar.
