WMSE is proud to support Jazz At The Vine, a concert series presented by Humboldt Park Friends in collaboration with Milwaukee County Parks , Lakefront Brewery and Beer Capitol. This concert series takes place at Humboldt Park’s stunning beer garden, with a goal of bringing the community together and raising funds to support the park system.
This week features the Paul Silbergleit Trio. Guitarist Paul Silbergleit is a longtime mainstay of the area jazz scene who bears the influence of artists such as Grant Green, Jim Hall, and Pat Metheny, and has performed with the likes of Benny Golson, Jack McDuff, Phil Woods, and Melvin Rhyne. His trio brings a unique set of original music, reimagined classic tunes, and off-the-beaten-path gems, all delivered in their distinctively creative, tasty, and swingin’ style. Paul has enjoyed national airplay with his albums Silberglicity, My New Attitude, January and The Hidden Standard, has written jazz guitar instructional materials for Hal Leonard, and currently serves on the faculty of the esteemed Milwaukee Jazz Institute.
